“ARE YOU UP?” Listening Experience
Experiential Design • Community Activation • Storytelling Strategy
Overview
A late-night listening experience designed to make people feel. “Are You Up?” invited guests into a dimly lit, intimate space where they could sit with their own emotions while entering into someone else’s story through sound. The goal was simple: create a room where vulnerability felt safe, and where music could be held, dissected, and deeply felt in community.
Emotional Intention
To slow people down enough to hear themselves — the version that only comes out late at night when the world is quiet.
Outcome
Attendees described the experience as grounding, cathartic, and unexpectedly connective. The prompts became conversation starters long after the event ended, extending the emotional life of the project beyond the room.
